One dinner โ not a language exchange, not a networking night, not a membership.
More than 500 Donghaeng members have asked us to host gatherings in English. This is our first.

Why this dinner
Koreans who want international friends often don't know where to meet them.
Internationals* often find it hard to meet Koreans
(*not as tourists passing through โ as people who also call Seoul home)
Good food, a little wine,
and no awkward icebreakers.
What this is โ and isn't
โ 20 Korean locals and 20 international residents
โ 40 people in one room, seated five or six to a table
โ Conversation prompts prepared in advance
โ No interview, no membership โ just the form
โ Not a language exchange, not a networking night
| How the evening goes
โถ 7:00 PM โ sit down together
Dinner, wine, and a few prompts to help everyone settle in. You'll be seated at a table of five or six, Korean and international residents mixed.
โท Round 1 โ meet your first table
The places you love in Seoul, what you've been into lately, what it's really like to make friends in this city. No formal introductions, no need to perform.
โธ Round 2 โ choose what you want to talk about
Everyone picks one topic and moves to a table with the people who picked the same one.
โ You don't need to speak English or Korean fluently. Curiosity matters more.
โ We review every application to keep the room balanced โ not to judge who's impressive.
โ Applications for one group may close early.

Tell us privately who you'd like to see again, and what you might enjoy doing together.
Maybe: a run along the Han River, restaurants in Mangwon, an exhibition, or a beer after work. If the interest is mutual, we'll let you both know and help you plan it as a Donghaeng gathering.
โWe hope tonight isn't a one-off, but the start of your next plan in Seoul.โ

Q. Wait โ what is Donghaeng?
โDonghaeng is a members-only community in Seoul.
About 300 gatherings run across 15 areas of the city every week, and members join through a 1:1 video interview โ so the rooms tend to be full of people worth meeting. SEOUL TABLE is the night we open the doors: no interview, no membership, just the form.โ

Before you apply, three things to know.
โถ Every application is read before your seat is confirmed.
This isn't about how impressive you are. It's about a balanced room: 20 Korean locals and 20 international residents, a mix of ages and backgrounds, and tables of five or six where no single group dominates. We do turn down applications we can't read โ one-line answers, or a form that tells us nothing about who you are. Take a few minutes with it.
โท The participation fee does not include food and wine.
You pay the KRW 25,000 when you submit the form, and it's refunded in full if we can't offer you a seat. It covers planning and running SEOUL TABLE โ it isn't a deposit, and it isn't credit toward your restaurant bill. Two or three of the venue's most popular dishes and wine are ordered in advance, and the final bill is divided equally among participants.
What you'll pay
โ Participation fee โ KRW 25,000
โ Food and wine, split equally at venue โ approx. KRW 25,000โ35,000
โธ The evening will be photographed and filmed.
A photographer will be with us for part of the evening, including a group photo before Round 2. The photos and video will be used on Donghaeng's social media and in promotional materials for future gatherings. Please apply only if you're comfortable appearing in them.
We live in the same city. We just haven't met yet.
