As a nurse, I feel proud and a sense of accomplishment whenever I see sick patients being healed and getting healthy through my care. Of course, things don't always go as planned, but I gain strength from seeing people's health improve. In the past, I used to just sleep when I was stressed, but these days I also read economics books and go out to eat delicious food with friends. I am a dentist currently working like a plover bird :) Since my work is physically demanding, a delicious meal and a drink after work are my joys these days🫧 When I rest, I mainly spend time reading, and I like reading while drinking the most haha. I don't discriminate between wine, whiskey, or beer. I used to prefer novels and essays, but lately, I'm trying to read a variety of genres. Recently, I read Alain de Botton's <Status Anxiety> while drinking bourbon whiskey, and the bittersweet yet sweet finish of the bourbon matched well. I highly recommend this combo! I am someone who believes that kindness eventually wins. Due to the nature of my job, I have to constantly interact with people, and it seems kindness works on even the sharp or rough ones. If I treat them kindly consistently, they trust and follow me. Ah, speaking of this reminds me of a movie. I like the movie <Everything Everywhere All At Once>. I've been a pharmacist for 6 years. When I was young, I longed for the neighborhood art academy through the window cracks, but I chose the path of a pharmacist where I can work anytime. Even in my daily routine of receiving prescriptions and dispensing medicine all day, I don't forget my hobbies. I started learning ballet 2 years ago to prevent varicose veins, a common occupational disease for pharmacists haha. When I perform elegant movements to music, the stress just flies away! I'm also participating in the Trevari book club. The time spent reading and talking together is precious. I am a PhD student studying demography. I majored in international relations as an undergraduate. Although I studied and worked abroad, I didn't feel a great sense of accomplishment. So, at my parents' suggestion, I decided to pursue a PhD. I am currently conducting generational research on the Indonesian population. I believe Indonesia, a huge market with a population of 400 million, has great potential as a strategic partner for Korea. Being a PhD student doesn't mean I'm stuck writing papers all the time.
